Two State Solution And/Or One State Solution Is Still No Solution
Given the zionist greedy landgrab of Palestinian lands, there is no Two-State solution. Those who talk about the One-State solution ignore the presence of illegal squatters even if born in Palestine

The, Two-State solution, we are told, is in accordance with International law and aimed at promoting accountability and ensuring a just peace.
Despite the Two-State solution being rejected by grassroots activists across the world who consider it dead, the South African government refuses to bury it.
Thus, it has once again pushed for the two state solution at the Conference for the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution to end the conflict involving the Palestinians and the Israelis, or the Arabs and Hebrews, or the Muslims and Jews.
While there is wide consensus among grassroots activists that the Two-State solution is not the solution, scant thought is directed to address the One-State solution which, if advocated for on the foundation of a secular nation state, will also not be a solution.
There is a growing (but still minority) dissenting voice within the African National Congress (ANC) that opposes the Two-State solution and thus attempts to open debate for a One-State solution.
Both locally and globally, there is growing literature devoted to convincing activists of the similarities between the struggle against Apartheid in South Africa and the struggle against zionism in Palestine.
To this end, attempts are made to convince people that the solution must be similar to that in South Africa, i.e. a secular state in which people of all faiths—Muslims, Christians and Jews—and people of no faith live side by side with equality.
Some of these dissenting voices within the ANC even include zionist Muslims.
One such voice is the former Ambassador to Libya and Syria who appears regularly at pro-Palestinian events.
He goes to the extent of taking every opportunity to say that in supposedly close-door discussions with Syed Hassan Nasrallah Shaheed, the latter said that the non-settler colonialists must be accommodated within this single secular state.
According to this/these zionist Muslims, there must be space for those zionist Jews who are born in colonized Palestine, i.e. they are indigenous albeit the unfortunate descendants of settler colonialists!
In this One-State solution narrative, war criminals such as Bezalel Smotrich who was born in Hispin in the Golan Heights and Itamar Ben-Gvir who was born in Mevaseret Zion/West Jerusalem inter alia qualify to live with equality and side by side with the dispossessed people of Palestine.
The only difference between the official ANC-led South African policy and these dissenters is that according to the Two-State solution, the zionists are entitled to retain 78% of the land, i.e. two states based on 1967 borders.
But they have not listened to Shaheed Syed Hassan Nasrallah!
Even the United Nations Special Rapporteur for Palestine, Francesca Albanese, considers unarmed zionist Israeli settler colonialists to be civilians and part of “protected populations” and Hamas must be pursued for international crimes and atrocities against them.
Notwithstanding her supportive statements regarding the current predicament of the people in Palestine, Francesca Albanese has little to offer on the solution.
In fact, the seerah/Prophetic experience and Surat al Hashr in the noble Qur’an will be deemed racist and anti-semitic by these people.
This is exactly why she condemns Hamas along with simultaneously condemning Israeli genociders but accepts zionist Israeli Yahudi non-combatants i.e. “protected populations”.
Do the advocates of the One-State solution and the Two-State solution not see the problem which they are all perpetuating?
The entire “equality doctrine in the One-State solution” requires thorough interrogation.
In its current form it is far too romantic and simplistic.
Have Muslims forgotten how difficult the mere sight of a remorseful Wahshi was for the most merciful Prophet? (Wahshi was the person hired by Hind who martyred Hamza (ra) in the Battle of Uhud.)
How do these proponents expect valiant Muslims much less in status than the Prophet, to live in co-existence and equality with these un-repentant zionist Israeli Yahud!?
Neither should Muslims invoke the Prophet’s amnesty of his opponents in Makkah.
Allah’s Prophet returned to Al Madinah after the liberation of Makkah.
A war criminal such as Hind, the mother of another war criminal Mu‘awiyah ibn Abi Sufyan, who ripped open the torso of the Prophet’s uncle was not going to be in his face.
There should be equality before the law.
Equal rights and equal citizenship are another matter.
“Indigenous” Yahud and Nasara have collaborated with zionists and imperialists as have “indigenous” Arabian/Palestinian Muslims viz. the Palestinian Authority.
Except the Palestinian Authority, in proposing the Two-State solution and/or the One-State solution the fact that the Palestinian population is overwhelmingly committed Muslims is ignored!
Being that they are committed Muslims, any future state must, out of necessity factor in Islam as its ideology.
This ought to be a foregone conclusion, especially based on the claim that most so-called pro-Palestine activists support “the Palestinian’s right to self-determination.”
The Muslims, inside and outside colonized Palestine, have consistently (re)affirmed their support for the Islamic Movements, viz. Hamas and Islamic Jihad among others, there are important precedents and lessons from the seerah/Prophetic experience in relation to the Jewish-cum-Arabian tribes Banu Qaynuqa‘, Banu al-Nadhir and Banu Quraydha that must be factored into the discussion of rights and citizenship.
Muslims are in a continuum if they claim to be in the footsteps of Allah’s final Prophet and the fact that these Jewish-cum-Arabian tribes could not honor their civic rights guaranteed to them by the constitution of Madinah should raise an un-mistakable red flag regarding any illusion of equality, not to mention co-existence.
Surah Al Hashr is most instructive.
The issue of Palestine is an Islamic issue and the eventual solution is not, and should never be, left in the hands of the Palestinians only, especially not the zionist collaborators and nationalists among them.
It is obvious that the Islamic Movement in Palestine is under tremendous pressure, coming from their zionist Arabian “friends” and their zionised “supporters” such as the ANC among others, to accept either the Two-State solution or the One-State solution along secular national lines.
To this end, even if the people of Palestine were to succumb to all this pressure, it becomes the responsibility of the rest of the Muslims to resist any and all pressure to impose either the Two-State solution or the One-State solution along secular national lines.
Muslims are going through testing times.
While any relief is welcome, Muslims must not lose sight of Allah’s involvement.
“He it is who ousted from their dwellings the deniers of Allah [His power and authority] from among the people of scripture at the [time of] consolidation of forces in battle formation! Little did you [committed Muslims] think that they [Banu al-Nadhir] would depart – just as they [Banu al-Nadhir] thought that surely their barricades would prevent Allah [from reaching them], but Allah moved against them in ways that they did not anticipate, and He cast terror into their hearts, [and thus] they destroyed their own homes with their own hands as well as the hands of the committed muslims. Learn [from this] a lesson, O you who have abilities to see [the true dimension of this military standoff and conclusion]” (The Ascendant Qur’an, Surat Al Hashr, verse 2).
